Whether you like it or not, the relationship is over and now itâs time to move forward.
In your mind, you know that itâs time to pick up the last of your stuff from his apartment, stop sleeping in his sweat shirt and put down the Doritos. But for some reason you canât. Your heart and your spirit wonât let you. Itâs been over 3 months, but you still feel stuck â caught somewhere between âitâs overâ and hoping youâll be remotely interested in meeting someone new.
Breaks up are never easy.
In fact sometimes, even the most amicable break ups require an intense level of heart consciousness and energetic work, before all parts of us (mind, body and spirit) are truly ready to move on. You see, most of us have not been taught to understand that all love relationships (no matter what we endured or how things ended), are divinely sent to us from the universe â designed, simply to prepare us for what lies ahead.
I know itâs hard to believe, but I assure you that we are never being tested or punished by the Universe, everything is always blooming perfectly. Everything that has happened or will happen is simply a part of the journey.
The most important things to remember after a break up are:
- Give yourself all the time and space you require to heal. Do not energetically (intentionally think or wish to) block your emotions or use intellectual force to try to prematurely speed up the healing process. Example of these are not allowing yourself to cry, if you are sad and want to cry, or saying damaging statements to yourself like âIf I canât get over this, Iâm a loserâ or âI wish I couldnât feel pain anymoreâ.
- Bring consciousness to your internal conversations about the break up, your ex and yourself. You want to give yourself the time and space to heal, however, do not let yourself slip into indulging or being consumed by the dramatic energy of the break up. If you continue to be equally or more disempowered as the days pass on, it is likely that you are dwelling in the past vs. healing. It may be time to hire a coach who can help you to take specific actions that encourage your heart and your spirit to let go.
For many of us, dealing with the physicality of the break up and allowing our emotions to flow freely is really not enough for us to move on. We also need to consciously deal with the phantom pains (lingering energy acting as memories in the body) and let go on an energetic and level as well. There are tons of amazing exercises that you can do, that will help you recognize, acknowledge and release any lingering pain and fear you are still carrying around with you. Body memories are incredibly powerful, visceral and kinesthetic. Â I believe that in most cases that I see, Phantom pains are often the reason why so many people feel mentally ready to move on, but arenât able to on their own, turn the thought into action.
Okay, so you are super clear that you are mentally ready to let go and move forward. How do you consciously ensure that you have released the emotions toxins and let go of any fear that is energetically blocking you? How do you energetically release your ex and reclaim your body on all levels you can move on?!
Well guess what? There isnât one way to do this. When Iâm working one on one with my clients, I will actually sit down and design exercises based on their specific needs. And there are also a ton of exercises that I use for groups.  Here is an exercise that I absolutely adore, have used personally and have use with groups. You can do this one right now, on your own, in the privacy of your own home!!! Here we go!
- Get moving!
- Dance for yourself, do some yoga postures, hop on a stationary bike â you want to move but keep it fun and light.
- While active, close your eyes and intentionally call forth all of the memories, emotions, thoughts, fears âanything that has been holding you hostage.
- As you the feel the memories or thoughts begin to bubble to the surface, visualize them being extracted first from your mind, next from your heart and finally from your entire body.
- If the energy you want to release is not a vivid memory, use a colour to represent it, so you can easily visualize it during this exercise.
- As you watch the energy leaving your mind, heart and body, see it now flowing deep into the center of the earthâs core.
- See the giant crystal at the earthâs core, purifying this energy and transforming it back into pure white light.
- Say to yourself, âI have released this energy back to sourceâ.
- Know that the energy has in fact been released back to source, that it has been cleansed and will now be used as contribution to another life form.
- Remember to breathe throughout the entire exercise. Breathe deeply with every bit of your aliveness.
- Do not be concerned if you cry, if you feel very hot or cold or if your stomach feels unsettled â you are releasing energy and the experience is incredibly powerful.
- Check in with yourself to see if you have released all that you wanted to release. If any unwanted energies remain, repeat the steps until you feel within yourself that you have sent all of the lingering energy into the earthâs core for recycling.
- You will know when you are finished, you awareness will tell you itâs time to open your eyes.
- Open your eyes.
- Place both of your hands on the center of your chest.
- Feel what is present there â simply notice.
- Feel free to repeat this exercise as often as you want.
Most of us to do not enter into relationships with the intention of breaking up, but when they do happen, know that the experience is not intended to destroy you â they are intended to make you stronger. With knowledge, the right tools and support you can lovingly, powerfully, effectively and energetically let go of your Ex and move on!
I know that you truly are an amazing spirit, deserving of all that that love has to offer. Now you are one step closer to energetically letting go and with that you are one step close finding your divine partner and living epically ever after.
