Our bodies are always speaking to us. Are you listening?

🙄 Do you always feel exhausted?
😴 Can’t fall asleep or stay asleep?
😑Are you moody? Irritable?
🤔 Do you just feel off?

I want you to consider that these are aren’t random symptoms.
They’re signals—your body’s way of asking for attention.

There are times when we have no other choice but to “push through” as a short term solution, but the truth is, some of us are still ignoring our health and wearing this sacrifice as a badge of honour, or a reckless form of self-validation, or pretending things aren’t that bad because we simply don’t want to change our ways… But guess what? ignoring your body’s whispers often leads to it screaming later.

From a self-love perspective, self-care isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity and our personal responsibility…

✅ Got no energy? Check your nutrition, stress, and hormones.
✅ Can’t sleep? Check your stress,routines, sleep hygiene, hormones. Your nervous system may need support.
✅ Moody? Your gut, hormones, relationships, big life transitions or lifestyle could be playing a role.

Your body is not the problem—it’s the messenger. The sooner you listen, the closer you get to having peace in your body again.✨

The relationship you have with yourself directly impacts what kinds of people your attract into your life, the kinds of people you choose to keep in your life and how happy and fulfilled you feel in those relationships.

If you feel really happy and fulfilled in your relationships it’s not a fluke or luck or some sort of coincidence that this is the case…

If you feel like you’re surrounded by toxicity, energy vampires, people doing nothing and going nowhere, or one sided relationships that is your cue that it’s time to do a self-assessment. It’s time to take a deeper honest look at how you feel about yourself and the role or character you’ve been playing in life and more specifically in your relationships.

You deserve to be in healthy, strong, supportive long lasting relationships… It’s also important to learn how to do this. And most of us didn’t have clear models (examples) for this. And so here we are. Here’s to the journey.

Our self-worth plays an integral part in how we interact with ourselves, others (especially the ones we love) and the world.

When our self-worth is low or waining, we struggle to:

- set boundaries
- form reciprocal relationships
- clock red flags and avoid toxic relationships
- achieve personal goals
- step outside of our comfort zone.
- regulate our mood or manage anxiety.
- recover from failure or setbacks
- make good choices and act in alignment with our core values

When our self-worth is at a healthy place we:

- Seek out relationships that foster growth
- We care for ourselves in ways that help us to grow and be of service to others
- Have bad days and struggles, yet we remain emotionally stable
- See failures and setbacks as an opportunity to learn, heal and grow.
- Make good choices that we can feel proud of.

Anytime we’re struggling to maintain something in our lives that we need, or deeply value or treasure we must consider if somewhere deep down we hold a belief that we are not worthy, or not ready… Or we need to consider that we haven’t upgraded our identity to match with what we have.

Quality relationships with ourselves and others is

Quality relationships with ourselves and others is essential for our overall well being.

Ask anyone who’s either lived with, grew up with and or has been in relationship with people who lack self-awareness, are unwilling to take responsibility, are narcissistic, emotionally immature, lack any ability to emotionally regulate, are uncooperative or impossibly disagreeable, highly defensive, abusive or down right spoiled and selfish, and they will tell you how destructive and permanently life altering those relationships were…

As high eq people, it is important that we understand the gravity, the benefits and the costs of entertaining, maintaining and or exiting or reconfiguring key relationships in our lives.

Many of us were never taught to have a healthy relationship with ourselves, and how to balance healthy relationships with our partners, family, friends, communities and the world at large.

I believe that as high eq people it is our responsibility to act with love, kindness and compassion… But this does not mean we are meant to be everyone’s number one, bestie, partner or friend.

As high eq people it’s important to understand that people can only relate to you from their level of consciousness.

If they lack self-awareness, it will be difficult for them to listen to you or understand you.

If they are low eq, it will be next to impossible to for them to relate to you or accept you for who you are.

Remember, the more comfortable and at peace we are with ourselves, and the more we make it a point to build and maintain relationships with people who love and respect us, the less likely we are to fall into “pick me energy” or beg for someone else’s affection or validation.

Giving can be dangerous for high eq people still in the process of learning, how to set healthy boundaries and limits in their relationships, both at work and at home.

Being able to set healthy boundaries IS what helps us to navigate our relationship to ourselves and others optimally.

Feeling: 👇🏽

Used, taken for granted, taken advantage of, mistreated, overlooked, undervalued, under appreciated, resentful, “turned off”, overly critical, disrespected, stifled, suffocated, isolated, alone, trapped, burned out… These are feelings that you want to pay close attention to. For high IQ people, feelings, like these can indicate that there is a dangerous imbalance in the amounts that we are giving and receiving.

If you are here and reading this, it’s not an accident. I created this message specifically with the intention for it to reach bold, bad ass powerful people that are at place in their lives where they’re only interested in building relationships, communities, partnerships, lives and futures with people who know their worth.
