HOW TO RAMP UP YOUR MORNING ROUTINE
How would your life be different if you went to bed excited every night instead of stressed? Did you know that you can literally decrease your stress level, increase your daily productivity and boost your overall mood just by changing up your morning routine?
What so many of us don’t realize
Most of us don’t even realize just how much we are affected by our morning routines – the things that we do daily, the way we do them and in the order in which we do them. I am of the belief that mornings are meant to be sacred. A time for us to reconnect with our bodies after a long night’s sleep, fine tune our minds for the day ahead and ground ourselves in powerful intentions grant us access to materializing our heart’s desire.
If you hate, dread, zoom through or don’t even value your mornings, consider that it may be because you are using (what I like to call) an ‘expired morning routine’.
What if your way isn’t always the best way?
An expired morning routine is a morning routine that is loaded with a lot of repetitive actions that drain you of positive energy rather than supply you with positive energy. For example, if you are taking the same route to work every day because it is faster, you may need to explore if taking the faster route truly makes you more alive and happy. You may find that the fastest route is best on some occasions; but most days a route with less cars on the road, more trees and a slower speed limit is what actually makes you feel happiest. And if that is the case, it may be time to ramp up your routine or create a new ritual. Ramping up your morning routine is about you taking a much deeper look at what really makes you happy vs. doing what seems logical, or getting stuck in the trap of always doing what you think will make you happy, but really doesn’t.
There are many other things that you want to ask yourself, consider and explore when it comes to really creating a compassionate morning routine, with a solid self-love foundation, that sets you up for day to joy and success.
